I made this drawing whilst listening to a live reading of The Yellow Wallpaper, a short story by Charlotte Perkins Gilman published in 1892. “There comes John, and I must put this away, - he hates to have me write a word.’

The drawing uses Vermeer’s ‘A Lady Writing’ as a starting point.

The Yellow Wallpaper is an original drawing / illustration and is 19.5cm wide x 30.5cm tall approx. (including white border on two sides).
